Behind the work
Transformed by Time
Time does not pass over us like a hurried shadow. It settles slowly, layer by layer, like dust over a memory, erasing contours, deepening fissures and bringing to light the traces of the things we tried to hide.
From the fractured matter emerge faces, places, memories and scents suspended between appearance and disappearance, after life has passed through our hands and changed us without asking permission.
The fissure becomes an opening, a wound through which light enters and through which another form of being begins to emerge.
The work speaks about transformations we do not choose, but which come to define us. Time does not take away only what we once were, but reveals, sometimes painfully and sometimes gently, what we have become.
